I am just now seeing this. So sorry…. Paul and Ruth came to Dewey Beach, DE in Oct 1995 . This was the first gathering to be come Greyhounds Reach the Beach. He was our guest speaker. Paul spent several hours in 90 temps on the deck looking over the adopted hounds and giving people first hand information about the retired racers. Paul and Ruth were so gracious. We were so fortunate to have them come. Paul’s name comes up often among those who were there. RIP Paul.. Judy Dillon.
My prayers for comfort to Ruth and the family
Paul and I went to elementary, junior high, and high school together. We formed a garage band in 9th & 10th grades. We also formed a tongue-in-cheek band that performed a lampoon of a couple of songs in our sophomore talent show. Paul’s humor was infectious. Paul went on to become a very accomplished guitarist and audio technician. I find it interesting that Paul passed just a day before I was thinking of him last week. One of those God things. I extend my sympathies to Ruth, Diana, and all the family. There is no grief without Love. Let Love be your guide.
