Patricia Helen Sheska McSheehy's Obituary
Patricia Helen Sheska McSheehy, originally from New Haven Connecticut who moved to St. Petersburg at the age of 6, passed away December 21, 2019 at the age of 79. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1958. She received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida in 1962 with her studies focused on both American and World History.
She is predeceased by her husband Edward John McSheehy. Both were part of the first faculty who opened Seminole High School and where they met, fell in love and got married. In 1964, husband and wife were not allowed to teach at the same school and Patricia retired from teaching to become a full time homemaker. They were married for 54 years and had one daughter, Roxanne. They enjoyed traveling abroad and visiting the places that Patricia covered in her History classes. She had an exceptional green thumb and enjoyed gardening and working with her over 500 house plants.
Patricia passed away peacefully at home after a short illness under the care of her daughter and son-in-law. Patricia will have a private cremation with no services as she requested.
