Patricia L. Rowley's Obituary
Born Patricia Lee Whitford, May 26, 1927 in North Central Michigan near the towns of North Star and Ashley. Died October 07, 2007 in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 80 years 04 months, and 11 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; Don Whitford and Mary Whitford (nee Parks), two brothers, Harold and Basil Whitford, her daughter, Starr Ann Whitford, and grandson, Cary Lynn Ried. She was also preceded in death, in 1995, by her husband of nearly 28 years, Robert S. Rowley. She lived much of her life in the Lansing area and in Oct.1967 married Robert Rowley. In November 1979, after retiring, Robert and Pat moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where much of Robert's childhood had been spent. She remained in their home after his death, in June 1995. In the years that followed, Pat became more involved in the V.F.W. Post 6827 Ladies Auxiliary. She returned to Michigan in January 2006, when she was no longer able to care for herself and remained there until her death. Surviving are grandchildren, Dana Ried of Arizona, Bobby Jo Ried of Michigan and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are step-children, Carol (Bob) Venable of Missouri and Brian (Vickie) Rowley of Michigan. Step-grandchildren Robert L. Rowley and Tricia J. Rowley, also of Michigan
