Patricia A Fleming's Obituary
Patricia Allen Fleming, 89, of St. Petersburg, FL went to be with her savior Jesus Christ at St. Anthony’s Hospital on December 31, 2023. Patricia was born on St Patrick’s Day, 1934, in Livingston Manor, NY. In 1936, her parents Tom and Louise (Rose) Allen built a house in St. Petersburg and also a cottage on Sand Pond in Shandelee, NY where she spent all of her summers. Pat graduated from St. Paul’s High School and the University of Florida. In 1957, she married Michael Fleming and they remained together for 66 years. She taught civics from 1957-1962 at Mirror Lake Junior High School. Pat was very active in sports as she was a charter member of The Racquet Club Northeast and the Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club in Roscoe, NY. Patricia was a parishioner of St Raphael Catholic Church for over 53 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Allen; and step-father, David Miller. Survivors include her loving husband, Michael; children, Greg Fleming, Meg McDonnell and spouse Richard of Lakewood Ranch, FL; and Katie McDowell and spouse Jeffrey of Advance, NC; grandchildren, Evynn, Barry, Matthew, Megan, Sarah, Michael, and Andrew; and many other extended family members and close friends. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Sunday, January 20 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1376 Snell Isle Blvd NE, St Petersburg. A private inurnment will take place on a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.
