Pamela S Reinecke's Obituary
Reinecke, Pamela Sue
78, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2019. She was born in Longmont, CO, on Sept. 12, 1940 and attended Colorado Women’s College. She was a very devoted mother and wife, with unwavering values, determination, and work ethic, and always thinking of herself last. She helped the family through life’s changes, including moves between Colorado, California, Oklahoma, Washington, Wisconsin, Alabama and Florida. Her adventurous and brave spirit led to sailing adventures in the Pacific Northwest, across Lake Superior, and from Miami to the Bahamas. She never wavered, even when facing 20’ waves, whiteouts while snowshoeing or airplane wing icing. Pamela provided strong support for her husband’s passions such as flying their Cherokee Six across the nation and pit crew support for formula car racing. She was an excellent and creative cook, including years as a galley gourmet and creating an extensive array of ethnic cuisine. She loved gardening, especially roses, playing the piano, sewing, and carpentry. Pamela loved animals, especially her favorite parrot, Poncho, and Chinese pug, Chow. She was frugal and an early adopter of sustainability practices such as washing plastic bags for multiple uses. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Mark E. Reinecke, M.D., two daughters, Paula Livingston and Gretchen Govoni, and four grandchildren, Andrea Keane, Nicholas Livingston, Patrick Govoni, and Rebecca Govoni.
