Mr. Orlando Evora's Obituary
Evora, Orlando 92, passed away January 12, 2013. Orlando was born October 19, 1920 in Sagua La Grande, Cuba. Orlando and his wife Maria along with their three children, Vivian, Leyla and Orlando, left Cuba in 1968. They came to Pinellas County where they settled in Kenneth City. Orlando was an entrepreneur in Cuba owning and operating a retail establishment in Santa Clara. In the US he worked at Chief Charley's restaurant in Clearwater in various positions including Manager. Later he worked with his nephews Humberto and Jorge Fernandez, who owned the Treasures of the Caribbean Spanish market. Always quick with a smile and helping hand he was devoted to his wife and family. Orlando was blessed to have his immediate family in close proximity. All including the next generation will remember the Evora extended family gatherings. Orlando is survived by his wife Maria of 63 years, daughters Vivian Evora and Leyla Tremaine (Thom), son Orlando Evora (Carrie), grandchildren Brandon Watson (Jennika), Taylor and Hunter Tremaine, Parker, Connor, Austin, and Paige Evora. A visitation will take place at Transfiguration Catholic Church between 9:30 and 10:30am with a Funeral Mass immediately following.
