Heaton, Olga, 86, of St. Pete Beach, died Wednesday at her home. Her daughter, Pam, Debbie and Windi, as well as Lois, her long time, devoted care giver, were with her. Olga was married to Stan Heaton for 56 years when he died in Read Obituary
I met Olga through the "Lunch Bunch", a group of friends who shared experiences of their spouses' Parkinsons Disase. She wasn't able to attend all of our luncheons, but if she wasn't there, we always discussed her health and our love for her. I, too, remember her fun birthday party a few years ago.
Memories of Aunt Olga do not start from an early age, but when I began college at USF, she greeted me with open arms, which was so very comforting. Moreover, I will always be thankful for Aunt Olga's generosity in realizing the family reunion we had in Michigan many years ago that lead to restoring connections with many Garvin relatives.

There was only one Aunt Olga.
I was so very fortunate that my memories of her started at a very young age......trips to Cincinnati when our grandparents lived on McMillan St., then when she & Uncle Stan lived briefly in New Jersey
where I grew up & the real fun began when they moved to Florida near our Garvin grandparents. - woo-hoo as a kid and then later on as a grown-up we enjoyed our visits with Aunt Olga.
My regret is that by living so far away, the time grew further and
further from seeing Aunt Olga. But I did cherish our phone calls....
we were like high school girls gossiping on the phone.
She was always so loving and full of laughter. Nothing seemed to ruffle her feathers. Not even when Pam & I missed the last bus from
the New York World's Fair--we were only maybe 13 & 14 years old.
Oh yes....Aunt Olga's smile and her wonderful laugh.....a very fond memory. I will treasure always.
Being a great-grandchild of the Garvin clan in the United States, I can remember my Grandfather, Dan, and a few of his siblings as a child, but Aunt Olga was one that stood out in my memory. She always had a smile and big hug that accompanied every squeeze. Her bouffant white hair, graceful nature, and beautiful smile will live with me forever. Olga was such a beautiful person both inside and out. She was much loved by all of us at Fit for Life, and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family and with Lois.
