Norman Brunton's Obituary
Brunton, Norman, 85, of Pinellas Park, born in Wakefield Yorkshire England, died Sunday, December 9, 2007. He was active in scouting for 72 years; Past Scout Leader Troop 334, Order of the Arrow. Norm was District Commissioner for Jackson County Alabama. He received many awards from Tennessee Valley BSA Council; Wood Badge, Silver Beaver Award, IBEW George Meany Scouting Award. He was a retired Journeyman Electrician and member of IBEW Local 308 Retirees Club. Norman was a Life Member of Masonic Lodge St. Petersburg. He served at Bay Pines as Volunteer Red Coat. He was a member of British Floridian Club. Norman served in Royal Canadian Air Force; flew Spitfires during the invasion of Normandy. He served as Commander for Royal Canadian Legion Post 403 St. Petersburg. He was a member of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church, Clearwater, FL. He is survived by his wife, Jerry, children, Peter, Michael, Linda, and Steven and step-children, Michael, Thomas, Patrick, and Kathleen Grimes. He had (15) Grandchildren and (4) Great Grandchildren.
