Nick Styke's Obituary
Styke, Nick, 83 of Largo, Florida (formerly of Belle Haven, Virginia) was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 22, 2008. The son of the late William and Pauline Styke of Toronto, Ontario. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Laurna Alice Styke, his son Rodger W. Styke, wife Sheila and grandson Ronnie (Wayne) Marshall, Jr. of Parksley, Virginia, Sisters: Mary Semkiw of Oakville, Ontario, Stephanie Lowe of Oakville, Ontario and Vera Vinnick of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Nephews; Dennis Semkiw and his wife Norlee and children Johnathon and Marilee of Mississauga, Ontario, Brian Semkiw and his wife Colleen and children Ashleigh, Katie, Marrissa and Kelly of Oakville, Ontario, Randy Lowe and his wife Joceyln and children Kristin and Jessica and one niece Patricia Lowe and daughter Leanne of Oakville, Ontario. He was born in the Ukraine, immigrated to Canada in 1930 and the United States in 1965. He was the developer and owner of the Meatland / Food City supermarket chain on the Delmarva Peninsula from 1973-1989. He was an active member of Northside Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, Florida serving as a deacon and on the finance committee. A memorial service will be held at the Northside Baptist Church, 6000 38th Ave North, St. Petersburg, FL, Friday March 28, 2008 at 1pm. A visitation will be one hour prior to service.
