Mrs. Nancy Jean McCoy-Dorr's Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Jean McCoy-Dorr
September 26, 1958 – August 22, 2015
Nancy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and sister up until her sudden departure on August 22, 2015. She was 56 years young and just shy of a month away from 57. Today, she is survived by her mother, Phyllis, her husband, Bill, and her daughter, Samantha. Nancy was originally born in Yonkers, New York and lived in several different places over the course of her lifetime affecting people’s lives everywhere she went.
She eventually settled down in St. Petersburg, FL. While living here, she found the love of her life, Bill Dorr, and married him in November of 1993. A rock to her family and a strong woman, she lived a full life in her short time here. She was always open to reaching out her hand to people in their time of need and offered support alongside necessary truths to help those she loved. Her loving hand did not stop with people, but reached out to animals as well. She could be considered a savior to strays, a caretaker of birds, and a mother to her own pets.
If you would like to share your sympathies, please come to the service on August 28, 2015. There will be a viewing from 5 PM – 7 PM followed by a short service beginning at 7 PM.
Please reach out to her family during this most difficult time to share your love and support.
