Morris C. Van Patten's Obituary
Van Patten, Morris C. 95, of St Petersburg, Florida, died Friday, March 14, 2008. He was born in Black River, NY and moved to St Petersburg in 1974 as a winter resident from Cape Vincent, NY. He became a full time resident of the area in 1999. He worked as a maintenance supervisor with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. for 36 years upon retirement. He was a Professional Shuffleboard Player with Americana Cove. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 30 years where he served in the past as an usher. He is survived by his wife Genevieve married for 69 years, sons M. Carlton Van Patten and partner Richard and David Van Patten and wife Frances, brother Frederick Van Patten, sister Ruth Mason and granddaughters Kelly Van Patten and Casey Lane. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 19 from 10-11 with a service to follow at 11:00 at Wesley United Methodist Church 301 37th Avenue N. St Petersburg.
