A good teacher will teach you the subject but a great teacher will inspire you for the rest of your life. Mr. Broussard was a truly great teacher. While he taught me geography he inspired me to treat everyone with kindness and respect. On occasion I will catch myself repeating one of his trademark phrases. I am honored to have been taught by him and more importantly to have known him.

I loved Mr. Broussard and he is the reason I devoted my life to teaching. Not only did he teach me the curriculum; but, he also taught me compassion, love for students and a myriad of other things. I have told people through the years that Mr. Broussard was my favorite teacher and have used many of his sayings in my classroom. He was a light in the darkness of high school and I will never forget him. I look forward to seeing him again.
