Mildred H. Thompson's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred Hu-Jenny Thompson, affectionately known as Aunt Jenny, was a caring, funny, and adventurous woman who was so very loyal to her friends. She was an artisan who took pleasure in her arts and crafts. She was deeply involved with her Seventh Day Adventist church, especially the Youth Pathfinders group, including a long history of volunteerism and feeding the homeless. Anyone who knew her knew of her quick whit, sharp tongue, and her “say it like it is” attitude. She was a strong, assertive woman, who was ahead of her time in the whys and wherefores of life. Her journey through life started in Jamaica, moved to England in her early twenties, crossed the pond to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, a quick hop over to New York, New York, then a final transition to sunny Seminole Florida, where she has made her home for the last three decades. She is survived by sister Mrs. Tothlyn Hunter, predeceased by her brothers Mervent Jones and Vester E.L. Marshall and late husband Noel Edward Thompson. Mother to daughters Yvonne P. Williams and Dorma D. Kholov and son Neil E. Thompson, grandmother to Sheldon H. Parchment, J. Mellanie D. Parchment, B. Ethan Watson, and Michael J. Kholov. Great grandmother to Jordan P. Parchment and C. London Parchment. Aunt to the late Cecilia, Leon, Rowan, Anthony, Jacqueline, Aldith, Karin, George, Lorraine, Audrey, the late Hubert, Royston, the late Garth, all of their children, and all of her loved ones across the globe. We will miss her, her smile, her charisma, her grace...and her hats.
Anniversary Memorial Tributes:
It came and went in waves... at first, the waves were overwhelming, knocking me off my feet, I gasped for breath as my eyes welled up mixing tears with the wet salty air.
But eventually, the sands of time grind my pain into fine memories that lap at my shores like a gentle surf nipping at my toes… tears turned to smiles, smiles to giggles… giggles to laughter…and through the teardrops that yet remained…a rainbow that is both a promise and a bridge between yesterday and tomorrow.
And then finally, one day, that deep satisfying sigh, as I feel the sand between my toes…love enlightens me…the girl, the woman, the sinner, the saint, the mighty goddess in Aunt Jenny, in me in us all. There is peace in the stillness and everlasting joy in the light.
Aunt Jenny was a brave and mighty woman with a sharp mind. I admired those qualities in her... and her daughters.

We'll always have your memories to make us smile.
We couldn't take the pain away, but we can be here to talk or reminisce about your life.
You were a great person who added so much to every life you touched.
Take time to advise us and keep us on track.
Nevertheless we missed the happiness we felt with you around.
God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be
So He puts His arms around you and whispered, "come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched and saw you slept away.
Although we love you dearly, we could not let you stay.
A golden heart stop beating, your tender hands at rest.
God took you home to prove to us, he only takes the best.
In Loving Memory of my dear Aunt Jenny

Aunt Jenny I'm sure you are in a better place garnished with angels wings, halo, harps, and other things. I know you're looking down from heaven up above sending out smiles with days of sunshine and showers of love. We think of you constantly and miss you. You will always be in my heart because in there you're still alive. Continue to rest in Gods loving arms.
One year on ... where did the time go... I remember Aunt Jenny as a lovely and welcoming person.

"You left beautiful memories of caring, sharing, and love."
From Sis Sutherland & The All Nation Church Family.
One year has passed since that sad day
When the one we loved was called away
God took our mother home, it was his will
But in our hearts she liveth still.

Aunt Jenney as we all called her was a gentle giant, when she comes in a room. You knew she was there because she was the commander and chef.Takes over any discussion but we all live and learn from her.Sadly missed SIP..
Dear Mom and Nanny.
We cannot believe one year has arrived since your heart stopped beating and you quietly slipped away. We miss your beautiful face and you wearing your beautiful hats. We miss our daily talks and sometimes your feisty response to some of our conversations.
Mom, Nanny you were always adventurous, creative, strong, courageous, as well as independent and always stood your ground when you had to. However, on June 27th 2019 you could no longer “stand your ground” and on that day, God whispered to you “Mildred, come with me”. We love you, we miss you and if we had a staircase that led to heaven, we would walk right up to heaven and bring you home with us. Forever in our hearts and may your soul continue to rest in peace.
In loving memory and gratitude from your daughter Yvonne and your loving grandson Ethan🙏🏽✝️💜🌹
