Michelle Draper's Obituary
Michelle Draper, 68, passed away on August 11th, 2023 in Saint Petersburg, FL surrounded by her husband, daughter, and sister, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born on March 6, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA to Michael and Virginia (Hagerty) Owens, Michelle was one of seven siblings, and a very close extended family including 42 first cousins.
Michelle’s great sense of adventure, caring nature, and infectious smile left an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was a lover of musicals, good wine, and world travel, experiences she shared generously with her loved ones at every opportunity. Having worked as a flight attendant for 35 years, she showed us the world on a buddy pass, time and time again.
Her sense of adventure was unmatched by all but her loving husband of 36 years, Clive Draper. No goal was too bold for them to achieve together. Together they moved to new cities, renovated and built houses, and built new communities of friends wherever they lived.
Michelle will be greatly missed by many loved ones around the world.
She will be laid to rest under the oak trees at Woodlawn Memory Gardens, in Saint Petersburg, FL where her family will always be able to visit with her, but her spirit will be with those who carry on her memory including her husband; her daughter, Alexandra Draper; stepson, Jay Draper; siblings, Virginia Lupton, Karen Frank, Melissa Gardner, Michael Owens, and Jennifer Bertolami; her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; and her grand-dog, Lily.
A celebration of life will be held in early 2024 and all family and friends who want to show their love for her are encouraged to come. A date will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
