Michele Collins Knigge of St Petersburg, Fla, a soul too bright for this world, passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in Buffalo, New York, she moved to St. Petersburg during her childhood, graduating from Northeast High School. She was a woman of unwavering faith, deep compassion, and a commitment to helping others. She made a significant impact on the lives of many through her work and personal connections.
Michele was a proud graduate of Eckerd College, where she earned her degree in Human Services. She furthered her education by obtaining a master’s in mental health counseling, demonstrating her dedication to supporting those in need and making a difference in the world.
Michele was preceded in death by her loving parents, George Collins and Caryl Geiselhardt, and husband, Jan Knigge. Together, they shared many years, making memories that will bring laughter and tears to all those who knew them.
Michele's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the positive influence she had on her community. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
A memorial service will honor Michele's life and contributions on Friday, March 28th, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park, 5750 49th St. N., St. Petersburg, Fl. Following the service, please join us to celebrate her life at Campanella’s Restaurant and Pizzeria at 7420 49th St. N., Pinellas Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a no-kill animal shelter to honor Michele’s great love for animals.
