Mr. Michael Detsis' Obituary
Detsis, Michael, 84, passed away Feb. 24, 2012. He was born in Apiranthos, Naxos, Greece on Oct. 4, 1927. He is survived by his loving wife Afrodite, his daughter Poppe and George Apostolou, his daughter Eva and Mike Collins, his son Jimmy and Litsa Detsis, his daughter Anna and John Tischner, thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandson, one brother Yanni, three sisters Aneza, Irini, and Maria, all of Greece and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Greece. "He has touched our hearts and souls in many ways and will forever live in our hearts." There will be a visitation from 6 until 8pm (Trisagion at 7pm) on Thursday, March 1st at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, March 2nd at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church, 3600 76th St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice or St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church.
