Mr. Max I. Vander Syde's Obituary
Vander Syde, Max, 90, of St. Petersburg, passed away Jan. 31, 2011. He was born in Iowa on March 4, 1920 and in 1924 his family moved to Minnesota. Max and Marcille were married Jan. 11, 1947 and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. They moved to Florida in 1954. Max was a WWII veteran, serving in the 1st Army 3rd Armored Division in the European Theatre. He was an electrical contractor retiring in 1980. His family was his pride and joy. He survived by his wife Marcille, 2 sons: Michael (Angie) and Boyd (Linda); 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 1 brother, both in Minnesota. There will be a Memorial Service at 2pm on Saturday, Feb. 12th at Memorial Park Funeral Home: 527-1196. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
