Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald Jakeway's Obituary
Jakeway, Mary Fitzgerald, 97, of Dunedin, passed away Dec. 8, 2014, in Clearwater. She was born on Dec. 21, 1916 in Syracuse, NY and later moved to St. Petersburg in 1950. She was employed as a secretary and interviewer for the State of Florida and worked in the St. Petersburg State Office in the Division of Employment Security for 20 years. Upon retirement, she moved to Mainlands, Pinellas Park. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Survivors include her only child, Carol Jakeway Young of Dunedin; sister Dorothy White, Detroit, MI; 2 grandchildren Richard Young, San Diego, CA and Patricia Young Zauner, Troutville, VA; 3 great-grandchildren Kayla, Jordan and Kelsey Young, all of San Diego, CA. She will be interred privately at Woodlawn Memory Gardens.
