Mrs. Mary Dinolfo's Obituary
Dinolfo, Mary (Anderson) of Pinellas Park, passed away from natural causes at Consulate Health Care of St. Petersburg at the age of 92. She was born in Marseilles, France and arrived in America at the age of one. She became an American citizen in 1987. Mary was a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She retired as an elementary school teacher from the Akron Board of Education. She had also been a licensed hairdresser from the age of 16 for many, many years. Mary moved from Akron, OH to Pinellas Park in 1973 and also worked as a teacher aide for the Pinellas County School System for 8 years. She volunteered at Northside Hospital for several years, in charge of candy stripers. Some of her hobbies were swimming, walking, ping-pong, tennis, row-boating, sewing and was an accomplished ballroom dancer with her husband Sal Dinolfo. Music was her biggest passion. Mary was a member of the Pinellas Park Senior Center where she volunteered her time. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park. Survivors include daughter Joanna Haag of Doylestown, OH, daughter Cathy Sweatman of Tampa, and son John Anderson of Ellenton; grandson Tony Stewart of Bradenton, grandson Taylor Anderson of Maryland and granddaughter (film costume designer) Kristine Haag of Hollywood, CA. Also brother George Charidakis of St. Petersburg. Note to our mom from your 3 children: You always put us first. You gave to us never thinking of yourself. We appreciate all that you taught us and gave so generously to us and our families. We couldn't and never will forget you ever! Our love and respect for you will never die. From your kids: Joanna, Cathy, and John. A private service was held on Sunday, Dec. 16th for the family at Memorial Park Funeral Home
