I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Sonn's passing. I did not know Mrs. Sonn personally. I met her briefly and was immediately aware of her kindness and quiet spirit. My heart goes out to her family and friends. My deepest sympathy, Lorraine Thomas
When we didnt receive our annual Christmas card this year I suspected something had happened. Roy and Marie were one of the first to welcome us when we were saved and joined OBC back in 1991. They treated us like family. She would have been excited to know our son Joey had a baby and is starting his own family. She will be missed and thought of often.
I will miss Marie's Christmas cards every year- I enjoyed receiving them and sending one to her. She was an amazing woman and we were all blessed to have her in our lives.

Dear Stephanie, Greg and Family:
The King Family owes your mom so much. When they were in nurses training she introduced our dad to our mom. They remained lifelong friends. Your mother was very kind and helpful as our mother struggled through her illness in her last years. Mom always was so happy to see Marie. And, helpful to me in understanding my mother's illness for which I will be eternally grateful.
I know you must be grieving at the loss. But know also that she made the world a better place.

We are in North Carolina for an extended time so will not be at your mothers service. Please know how much your mother was loved and appreciated. Of course my memories go back to her days as a head nurse of Orthopedics at Bay Pines. The doctors, especially Dr. Bill Cross, held your mother in the highest esteem. I felt so fortunate to have known her in that capacity. And to have known you then.

I remember Marie as having a straight forward, common sense attitude, as well as a compassionate heart. She was a blessing to have known. May she rest in Peace.

Marie was part of our family since we were in the seventh grade. She would ride her bicycle from Pinellas Park to 20th st. We had many happy times and worked hard to get through nursing school. She was always there through many family crisis. Not too many people can claim a 75 year friendship.
I will see you again one day, Marie.
