Marjorie Ruth Christy's Obituary
Christy, Marjorie Ruth, 90, of Brandon, passed away peacefully in the home and presence of her loving daughter Carol Valaes and her husband George, in Brandon on June 4, 2011. She is survived by sons James Joseph, Oakland, CA and John Patrick, Seattle, WA. Born in Richmond Hill, New York in 1921, she lived life to its fullest. She was a proud Army wife accompanying husband James Vincent, 1921-2003, post WWII to stations where she created homes in Europe, Asia and America. She loved to say, "I've had a great life, I had 3 children, each born on a different continent!" She saw the world, loved travel, plays, and Lawrence Welk. She achieved her lifelong dream of retirement in Florida, where she enjoyed many years in Clearwater. She was a life long Christian and member of the United Methodist Church in Pinellas Park since 1987. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Lake Seminole Square Retirement Home in Seminole, FL at 10:30 am, June 10, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of your choice
