Marilyn K. Sainsbury's Obituary
The Reverend Mrs. Marilyn K (West) Sainsbury went to her eternal rest, leaving behind her accomplishments and joys to be in the presence of her Savior and Lord. Born in Cambria, PA on September 5, 1947. She graduated from Johnstown High School, PA (1965), Asbury College (University) (1968), and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1999). She was ordained in the United Methodist Church in 2001. She was the wonderful wife of Rev. James W. Sainsbury for almost 55 years. She was mother to Marikay J. Green, and Michele J. Diaz (husband-Jeffrey), grandmother to James R. Diaz, Eilisse C. Green, and Jonathan E. Diaz. Marilyn crossed over to be with Jesus, her parents, Rev, and Mrs. William (Marian) M. West, and brother, Rev. William West on July 5, 2022. She will be missed by we who await which also include her sisters Mrs. Joyce (Rev. Loye) Startzell, Mrs. Carol (Rev. Dr. Richard) Gardner, Mrs. Cynthia (Mr. Richard) O’Donnell, her sister-in-law, Laura (Mr. Rea) West-Atwell along with many nieces and nephews. We will miss her presence, her smile, and her lovely singing voice. A memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family. Burial will be at the Memorial Garden in St. Petersburg, FL. Gifts her in memory may be sent to Malaga Camp, 4488 Arbutus Ave, Newfield, NJ 08344 for the repair, and needed equipment to reopen the Ice Cream Store, ‘Tis So Sweet.
