Marilyn "Susie" Leonard's Obituary
Marilyn "Susie" Sue Leonard, 64, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on July 1, 2025, in St. Petersburg with her family by her side.
Born on April 27, 1961, in St. Petersburg, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Martin and Henrietta Herr. She remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 42 years, John R. Leonard; her children, Jessica Bickel and husband Michael, and James Leonard; and her cherished grandchildren, Evan and Landon Bickel. She is also survived by her sister Lois Cameron and mother-in-law Jacquelyn Leonard. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, John A. Leonard.
Known for her gentle spirit and kind heart, Marilyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored spending time with her grandsons and caring for her two beloved cats. An avid photographer at heart, she delighted in capturing images of beaches, flowers, and moonlit skies—anything that stood still long enough to be framed through her lens.
Marilyn’s warmth touched all who knew her. Her quiet appreciation for life’s everyday beauty served as an inspiration to those around her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
