Marilyn "Midge" Hollenbeck's Obituary
Hollenbeck, Marilyn “Midge”, 63, of St. Petersburg, passed away October 30, 2016. She was born October 2, 1953 in Auburn/Skaneateles, NY. Her passion was her family, whom she adored. Hosting Thanksgiving family meals and Christmas mornings with the grandchildren were events that inspired her many unique gifts. Professionally, Midge spent the last 17 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Her favorite pastime was attending art exhibitions, shows and auctions. Thus along with her husband, David, a collection of fine art was formed. The core of this collection will one day be housed at the University of Florida, Cornell University, The Museum of Modern Art, NY and The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg. For Midge, in the waning weeks fighting the evil disease that ultimately took her from us, it was always about the family. She is survived by her husband, David Hollenbeck; mother, Maricyn Ernestine; daughter Jennifer Lytle; sisters Sandy May; Terri Evard (Dennis), Cindy Ernestine, Sue Finzer; brothers Mike and Steve Ernestine; sister-in-law, Gail Hollenbeck (Shawn); aunt, Shirley Allen; nephew Nick Finzer (Nichole), Daivd May, Joshua Hilton (Samantha); niece Ashley Trammell, Nekeia Hilton, Amy Hamilton Rountree )Ryan; greatniece Alana Rountree; cousins, Dianna Allen Cormack, Debbie Christopher (Carl); grandchildren Sasha and Chloe Lytle; as well as numerous well loved cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her. Rest in peace my angel, I will see you soon. The family requests any donations be made to Suncoast Hospice in Marilyn’s name.
