Marilyn E Byrd's Obituary
Byrd, Marilyn E., passed away on September 22. She was a native to Long Island, N.Y., attended Adelphi College in Garden City and was a member of the Delta-Delta-Delta sorority. She worked for General Electric in Largo for many years. In 1967 she married Russell Byrd, a celebrated national and local entertainer and together ran "Russ Byrd Music" for over 40years, 12years on her own after Russ passed away. They represented thousands of musicians and artists with one major account being the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Marilyn was renowned for her dinner parties during and after the 14 years of Russ's local TV program the "Russ Byrd Morning Show". Guest came from the highest ranks of the world of entertainment and starred on her famous "Wall of Fame" photo exhibit. She lived in South Pasadena for 42 years before moving to Westminster Suncoast in 2009. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, entertaining and was an avid gardener of orchids and stag-horn ferns. Predeceased by her son Roger Vallee, husband Russell Byrd and brother Richard Siedenburg. Survived by her sister in law Jean Siedenburg, son's widow Patricia Read and special friends Tina and Fred Alberg. Donations to Westminster Suncoast Foundation - Health Center are requested in lieu of flowers. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, September 27th at 11am with a reception to follow.
