Marijean Jakubczak's Obituary
Marijean Elaine Jakubczak, 84, passed away at home on January 4, 2023. She was born in Ludington, MI, on March 15, 1938, to the late Emerson and Esther Houk.
Mrs. Jakubczak spent many years employed with JC Penney and on her off time she was a Girl Scouts Leader and Shuffleboard Captain. She loved traveling, camping, snowmobiling, and visiting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was a loving spouse, the best mother ever and the most caring and loving grandmother and great grandmother. Marijean was also a devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, FL, and St. Hyacinth in Bay City, MI.
Marijean is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas Jakubzak; children Debra (Jay) Edwards, Alan (Debbie) Jakubczak, Brian Jakubczak, and Cheryl (Dave) Clark; grandchildren Lauren (Casey) Mattson, Taylor (Kaila) Jakubczak, Kevin Jakubczak; great-grandchildren Brantley Mattson and Lillian Jakubczak and siblings Jerry (Jean) Houk, Cliff (Kay) Houk, Chuck (Vicki) Houk, and Nancy Dwyer.
She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Kathy Jakubczak, grandson Justin McCormack, and brother-in-law Norm.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 3:00 PM – 4:30PM.
