Marie Bernadette "Bernie" Guy's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Bernadette “Bernie” Guy, age 65, of St. Petersburg, Florida, on August 6, 2025.
Bernie was the heart of her family — a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished daughter, and loyal friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering selflessness touched everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she loved them more than anything in the world.
Bernie had a deep passion for running, curling up with a good book, and spending quiet, joyful moments with her family and beloved pup, Rufus. She lived with grace, gave with generosity, and always put others before herself.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Steve; her daughter Kristin (John) Kerns; her son Stephen (Ashley) Guy; and her treasured grandsons, Jack and Chase. She also leaves behind her mother Joan (Daniel) Storey, along with many incredible brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and fur babies — all of whom she loved deeply.
A memorial celebration of Bernie’s life will be held in the near future, where friends and family will gather to honor her beautiful legacy.
In the words she loved:
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
