Margaret L Rivenburgh's Obituary
Margaret Louise Rivenburgh, 94, was born in Fort Meade, Maryland, and passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017, while under the loving care of Suncoast Hospice. She was surrounded by her family at her bedside, comforting and holding her hand, until God welcomed her home. Margaret was a devoted and loving wife to her beloved husband, Leonard, and is now reunited with him for eternity. Margaret was a homemaker devoted to her family. The family has many precious memories of their life with her which were shared through laughter, joy and tears while gathered at her bedside prior to her passing. The family finds comfort envisioning their parents strolling hand-in-hand through the gardens in heaven knowing they are reunited and at peace in the presence of God. Margaret, also known lovingly by her church family as "Sarg", was an active member of Clearview United Methodist Church. She served as a member and past President of the United Methodist Women, youth counselor for MYF, Trustee member, Sunshiner, and through prayer ministry. Margaret loved to help the church grow by working with others to raise funds for church building expansions and renovations. Margaret participated in many rummage sales, bake sales, spaghetti dinners, paper drives, and the pumpkin patch to help the church raise funds for charitable donations in service to the community. Margaret is survived by her son, Robert, and his wife, Monique, of St. Petersburg and her daughter, Marie (Susie), and her husband, Daniel, of Trinity; grandchildren Justin, Melissa, Katie, and David; great grandchildren Bryanne, Ethan, Kevin, Alexis, James, and Ellie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret's memory to Clearview United Methodist Church. Margaret's family wishes to express their appreciation for your prayers, love and support during their time of grieving. They invite you to join them after Margaret's Entombment at the cemetery for a reception in the Fellowship Hall of Clearview United Methodist Church, located at 4515 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg.
