Margaret Ann Kaye's Obituary
Margaret Ann Kinney Kaye, 85, of Largo, Florida passed away on March 14, 2024. She was born September 20, 1938 in Otisco, New York, just south of Syracuse, to Elizabeth Davern Kinney and Albert James Kinney.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband David Kaye. They leave three surviving children: Terry Kaye, JoAnne Ferris, and Russell Kaye, and were predeceased by their son Brian James Kaye in May of 1983.
Margaret is also survived by her sister, Brenda Smith of Rochester, N.Y., her five grandchildren (four in Florida, one in Texas), and her five great grandsons (three in Florida and two in Texas).
Margaret lived in New York State until September of 1958. After graduating from Tully High School in 1955, she worked in the communications industry in Syracuse for three years before marriage to the late David Kaye.
In 1958, Margaret moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, and started her four-year communications and finance career, before she stayed home to raise her family. While at home, she was very active in the children's' P.T.A. as well as their other sports and musical endeavors. Until later years, Margaret infrequently visited New York. After her children were grown, she went to New York, Georgia, and North Carolina as often as she could.
From 1972 to 2002 Margaret worked in aerospace for a British firm. She was able to travel, meet many interesting people, and see the country.
Margaret will be dearly missed and always remembered by those who love her.
Margaret's family will be recieving visitors at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30th beginning at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am, graveside service at 12 pm, and will be gathering with family and friends for light refreshments at 12:30 back in the funeral home
