Marcia "Sunny" McRoberts' Obituary
McRoberts, Marcia "Sunny", 57, of Gulfport, died on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at home under Hospice care. She was born in Cohoes, New York. Sunny was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was employed at American Legion Post 125 in Gulfport for more than 25 years. She loved the beach, watching NASCAR races, and playing Bingo as often as possible with her Bingo pals. Sunny was well known for her love of cooking which she enjoyed sharing with everyone throughout the years. Sunny touched the lives of so many friends. She will truly be missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, William R. "Billy" McRoberts, her beloved son, Petty Officer 1st Class Shannon Lawson, Jacksonville, FL; and a granddaughter, Alexis Lawson, Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to The Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard Clearwater, FL 33760.
