Malcolm "Scot" Ross' Obituary
Malcolm "Scot" Ross was born on May 5, 1947 in Turriff Aberdeenshire Scotland. He was the eldest of 5, 4 boys and one sister. He stayed in Scotland to complete his education while the rest of the family immigrated to the US. At 21 he joined his family in America. Six months later, he enlisted in the US Army for three years. One year of which he spent in Vietnam earning the national defense service metal, Vietnam service metal and Vietnam campaign metal.
After discharge, he met his wife, Theresa and they moved to California. He had a variety of different jobs throughout his life carpenter, photographers, assistant, wheelchair van driver to name a few.
The couple returned to Saint Petersburg to assist in the care of elderly grandparents. Their daughter was born here and the couple had their own business manufacturing sportswear.
Malcolm was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s 15 years ago. His family cared for him at home the entire time and he passed away on March 8, 2025.
