Sledge, Magdalena Pascua, 95, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026. She arrived in the USA in 1961 with her husband and son Carlos. Magdalena graduated from cosmetology school in Albany, Georgia, in 1965 and obtained her license in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked for 32 years and loved her job. Magdalena was a Deaconess in the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) for 30 years and a member since 1949. She loved the church and performing her duties to help take care of the church. Magdalena was always happy socializing with friends, loved swimming and listening to Jimmy Buffet sing Margaritaville. She was always cooking banana bread and giving it to friends. Magdalena was a loving person, everyone loved her and she loved everyone, but above all else, she loved her family. She is survived by her husband Benjamin, son Carlos, grandson Spencer, granddaughter Carly; siblings Asiang, Rosita, Peping; nieces Anne and Rose.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8 at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, May 9 at 10:00am.
