Lystra Millet's Obituary
Lystra Millet passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, WI. She migrated to Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 1968 then to Brooklyn, New York in 1969 and finally retired in 1985 and settled in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she will be laid to rest.
She was a legal secretary for most of her life retiring in 1985.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton Millet and her sisters, Elsa Monsano, Sylphide Graves, and her brothers, Cuthbert Waithe and James Waithe.
Surviving is her sister, Maria Rochard and her five children, Carol Millet- Stephenson, Anthony Millet, Leslieann Dougan, Jessel Millet and Kelly-Ann Sanchez. In addition, she is survived by all her grand and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 78th Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 with burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 1:30 pm until the time of service at the church.
The family address for condolences can be sent to 728 87th Ave. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 and in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her name.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Unfortunately, due the COVID pandemic the family is unable to host a repass after the burial.
