Lynne A. VanHoozen's Obituary
Lynne A Van Hoozen
Born June 17, 1952 in Dorchester, Ma. She graduated from Dorchester High School in 1970 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended St Peters Church where she taught Sunday School to the Kindergarten Class.
She relocated to Florida in 1973 where she lived in St. Petersburg, Brooksville, Pinellas Park and Largo.
Lynne loved life and was always there to help no matter the need and she was loved by many. She opened her home to troubled teens who needed help. She gave them a place to stay and helped them work through their problems and become upstanding adults. Her heart was large, and she shared it freely with all.
She was a fan of Nascar and WWE Wrestling.
She worked as a Para Legal for the Waldman Law Firm in Seminole. As with everything in her life her work was a passion and she loved it. Her coworkers were her extended family and she always took care of her “work” family.
Most important to Lynne was her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Norman Flewelling and her brother Blaire. She is survived by her husband Bruce ( Brooksville), daughter Jenn (Ricky) Milwood (Gastonia, NC), son Stephen (Largo) granddaughters Amber (Manchester, Ct) and Heidi (Graham, NC), sister and spouse Robin ( Ken) Elder (Largo) and nephews Thomas and Michael Elder (Largo).
Lynne loved Christmas, it was her favorite time of the year and she loved to decorate. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in December where a Christmas Tree will be decorated in her memory.
