Lương Minh Hạnh "Johnny"'s Obituary
Lương Minh Hạnh "Johnny", 88, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Pinellas Park, Florida. He was born December 18, 1937, in Bien Hoa, Viet Nam. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, his family will always remember him as "Our Hero".
Today we honor our dad—our fallen hero.
A man of quiet strength and unshakable courage, who risked everything so others could live free. On a harrowing 42-day boat journey from Việt Nam, he did not think only of himself or his family—he saved our lives and the lives of more than 84 souls who placed their hope in him. Because of his bravery, generations were given a future.
He was more than a survivor; he was a guide. He taught us the dignity of hard work, the power of dedication, and the importance of showing the utmost respect to our elders. These were not just lessons he spoke—they were values he lived every day. They shaped who we are, how we carry ourselves, and how we treat others.
Dad, your sacrifices did not end with that journey. They live on in us—in our resilience, our gratitude, and our unwavering respect for life and family. You are forever our hero, our protector, and our compass. Your legacy sails on in every step we take.
We love you always. 🤍
Services are Friday, February 6, starting at 9 am, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33709.
