Mr. Luis Luz's Obituary
Luis Luz of St Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in Suncoast Hospice House – Mid Pinellas Care Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 84.
Luis was born March 21, 1934 in Sao Miguel, Portugal; the beloved son of the late Jose Pereira and Maria Jose Daluz. He and his family moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1982 and began his career as a landscaper before ultimately settling in Florida. Luis was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses – Portuguese Congregation where he was dedicated July 25, 1987. He was a beloved husband, loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife of 57+ years, Maria Pereira and their loving children; Joe, Olga, Ana, Zenaide, Dora, Maria, Sidonia, Sandra and Manny. He is also survived by twenty beautiful grandchildren and seven precious great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1pm until 2pm followed by funeral services at 2pm Monday, September 23, 2019 at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th Street North, St Petersburg, Florida 33709. Immediately following the funeral service, friends and family will recess to Memorial Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Reflection.
