Luciana Cudizio's Obituary
Luciana Cudizio (nee Vatri), age 83, sadly passed away on December 10, 2024 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born on March 28, 1941 in the town of Porpetto, located in the Udine region of Italy.
Luciana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was dutiful and hardworking and cared deeply for her family, always putting their wellbeing above her own. Her life was full, being with those she loved. In Italy, she met the love of her life, Luigi and they wed on February 11, 1961. Luciana worked for many years as a successful seamstress, a love which extended to cherished hobbies. She was deeply creative and loved to crochet and knit, showing her dexterity with a needle and thread in all facets of her life. In 1966, they welcomed their son, John. Luciana's legacy graced many corners of the world; though her adventure began in Italy, she and Luigi relocated to Toronto, Canada and then to St. Petersburg, Florida, where they ran a successful mom-and-pop motel for 20 years.
Luciana is preceded in death by her parents, Atilio Vatri and Elena Cudini, as well as her two siblings: brother Olivio and sister Alida. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Luigi, her son John and daughter-in-law Nancy, grandsons Zac (Jacquie) and Luke, and great-grandson Jacob.
A service for Luciana will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 11:45 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home
