Lục Trung Kiên's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mr Lục Trung Kiên who died peacefully at home on November 29, 2024 at the age of 88. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Kien lived a life defined by simplicity, resilience, and unwavering love for his family.
Born in Tuy Hòa Việt Nam, Kien was a proud member of the South Vietnamese Air Force, where he served with honor during a time of great conflict. After the fall of Saigon, he made the difficult decision to leave his homeland, embarking on a perilous journey by boat to seek safety and a better future. He spent 18 months in a Thai refugee camp, enduring hardships with courage and determination, always with the hope of creating a brighter future for his family.
In 1982, Kien and his three oldest children settled in the United State of America, where he worked tirelessly to build a new life. After nine more years of perseverance, in 1991, he was reunited with his wife and his younger children. He was a man of few words but deep conviction, and his greatest joy came from providing for and caring for his children and grandchildren. His devotion to his family was his life’s work, and his love for them knew no bounds.
Though his life was shaped by hardship, Kiên found peace in the simple joys of everyday life - whether it was spending time with his loved ones, tending to his garden, or quietly reflecting on the blessings he had in his later years. He will be remembered as a man who always put his family first, who valued humility over pride, and who showed great strength in the face of adversity.
Kiên leaves behind his beloved wife, Văn thị Lệ , his 6 children and their families (including 11 grandchildren), his 3 younger sisters, 2 younger brothers and their families. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
May he rest in peace, reunited with the loved ones he lost, and forever in the hearts of his family.
