Smith, Louise G., 94, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on January 20th, 2013.She was born in 1918 in Syracuse, New York to Edward and Fanny Mae Peck of Syracuse, New York. . She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Syracuse University. She married Bernard Edward Smith on June 27, 1941. She retired from Pittsford Central High School On July 1st 1976 where she taught business. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church St. Petersburg. She was an avid reader, artist and traveler. Her last two and a half years were spent at Westminster Suncoast. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Henry of Syracuse, New York; Dick and Sandi (daughter) Averitt; Linda M. Smith of Hagerstown, Maryland; her grandchildren Richard G. Averitt, Dawn Averitt Bridge and Scott T. Averitt and 7 great grandchildren. A service will be held on Friday January 25th at 2pm at 1st Presbyterian Church. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Petersburg Free Clinic or the church.
