Louis Anthony Giacobbe's Obituary
Louis Anthony Giacobbe Jr., 83, of Tampa, FL, passed away on May 9, 2021, after a life lived to the fullest.
Lou was born on April 14, 1938, to Louis Sr. and Assunta in Pittsburg, PA. After graduating from North Miami High School in 1955, he served in the United States Army and Army Reserves from 1961 to 1967. He was a Dealer for Gulf Oil for 25 years and an Independent Agent for Hertz Corporation for 25 years and obtained many accomplishments in all of his years in business. In 1980, he met Sara, and they wed in 1984 going on to have five children, Amy, Ashley, Michael, Maria, and Joseph.
Lou was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of all of his children and always tried his best to support them.
Lou was also passionate about classic cars and movies, dancing, and his Italian heritage.
Anyone who knew Lou knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Lou was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Workman, parents Louis Sr and Assunta Giacobbe, siblings Rose Gibson, Joseph Donatelli, Antoinette Linn, Anthony Donatelli, and Lucille Ranallo. He is survived by his children Ashley (Kevin) Starner, Michael (Ashley) Giacobbe, Maria (Sean) LaNeve, Joseph Giacobbe, four grandchildren Kaden Starner, Quinn Starner, Malachi Giacobbe, and Melia Giacobbe, sister Virginia Giacobbe, former spouse Sara Giacobbe, niece Anna Marie (Paul) Ippilitto, and many nieces, nephews and their children.
There will be a funeral service at 2 pm on May 28, 2021, at Memorial Park in St. Petersburg, FL.
