Lois Jean Thompson's Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lois Jean Thompson at the age of 82. She passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31st, 2024, at St. Petersburg General Hospital with her daughters by her side. Jean is survived by her two daughters: Robyn Smith, and Jodi Tenney; two step-sons: Tom Goode and Jeff Goode; six grandchildren: Amy Smith, Cory Smith, Matthew Tenney, Codi Tenney, Brandon Tenney, and Brittany Rega; two great granddaughters: Ellie Paul and Myah Tenney; and her favorite companion, Pumpkin, her cat. Jean was born in Utica, NY on July 16, 1941. Jean graduated from Largo High School in 1959, and shortly after married Glenn Bittinger. They lived in Seminole and started a family. Jean worked in the Canteen at the VA Hospital then worked at South Beach Condos for 28 years as an Executive Assistant. After she retired from South Beach Condos, she continued to stay in contact with many of the residents. Jean was a very caring and kind person who loved her family and friends. She will be sorely missed! No words can express how much she was loved.
Her memorial service will be on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Seminole First Baptist Church located at 11045 Park Boulevard, Seminole, FL 33772.
