Ms. Lois Belle Cox's Obituary
Lois Belle Cox (nee Wilson) was born May 7, 1929 to Anna Marie DeSaundley and Roy Wilson in Chicago. After a full life of 86 years, Lois passed peacefully on November 26, 2015 in Palmetto.
Lois and Dr. Henry Allan (who preceded her in death) had four children together: Rebecca Ann, Deborah Mary, Henry John Allan (deceased) and Chris. Lois had another son, Todd Hough. She is survived by her children; her grandchildren Jonathan Allan, Kara Austin, Sean Plunkett and Sebastian Shindel; five great-grandchildren (Nathan Allan, Nodica Mosely, Jabari and Tayvean Austin, and Carson Plunkett); sisters Mary and Patricia; daughter-in-law Jan Allan and her cousin Karen Sadowsky.
A fiercely independent woman, Lois had an intense love of life and family. Her positive outlook and caring, compassionate spirit were frequently shown in her infectious giggle. She was keenly interested in current and cultural events, loved playing her piano and reading. Lois was a beautiful woman, inside and out; her buoyant spirit will be sorely missed by her beloved family and friends.
Debbie says: “I will miss my best friend, as I could always phone my mom and she would be there to listen to me.”
Please reach out to her family to show your compassion and support during this most difficult time.
