Lloyd Dean Lance's Obituary
Lance, Lloyd D. 89, of St. Pete Beach, passed away on January 12, 2019. He was born on October 4, 1929 in Washington, Iowa. He proudly served in the United States Navy prior to a lengthy career in banking which led to him founding Anchor Savings Bank; of which he was President and Chairman of the Board until his retirement. He was Past Commodore of the Pass-A-Grille Yacht Club and a 32nd Degree Mason. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Quinneth, brother Robert Schutte, son Lane Lance (Mandy); stepdaughters Beth Chamberlin (Bob), and Annalee Myers (David); son-in-law Paul Skipper; eight grandchildren PJ Skipper, Lance Skipper, David Lance (Renee), Richard Miller, Hunter Habib, Reba Habib, Cale Chamberlin (Terri) and Randy Chamberlin; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by Lois J. Lance and daughter Lynn L. Skipper. In retirement, Lloyd enjoyed playing blackjack, cooking, traveling and golfing as well as spending summers with family and friends at his and Quinneth’s mountain home in Waynesville, NC.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park followed by a Celebration of Life at the Pass-A-Grille location of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club from 4:00-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to Suncoast Hospice would be appreciated.
