I am so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I worked with her in the Hospital/Homebound Program for nearly 23 years. I can tell you that she was one of the hardest working teachers I have ever known.
Linda taught many special education students. Sometimes it is difficult to find an already designed curriculum for them. So Linda would create complete units of instruction for each of her students. She didn't care how long it took or how hard it was to do that for every student. She was uncompromising. She demanded so much from herself first in meeting their needs. She took great (and well-deserved) pride in what she was able to accomplish.
I learned a few things about being a better teacher from Linda. She was a person of rare character and integrity.
