Lillian R. Anderson's Obituary
Lillian R. Anderson, 97, of St. Petersburg passed away Monday, July 13, 2020.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 28, 1923 in Rochester, New York and moved shortly after to Atlanta Ga where she was raised. She was a strong Christian lady and prayer warrior who was a member of her church, Azalea Baptist, for over 40 years. Throughout her church life she was a choir member, Women’s Missions, Sunday School teacher. She was a longtime volunteer at All Children’s Hospital. She volunteered there for 37 years. Mrs. Anderson loved traveling all over the world with her daughter, Ginger. The highlight of all her travels was her trip to Israel. She had a servant’s heart and will be missed by many.
Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her husband, Lorne Anderson; son, Milton “Bennett” Ellis; parents, Alvie and Lucerne Thompson Rodgers; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Ginger Anderson; 2 brothers; 1 daughter-in-law and multiple nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
Mrs. Anderson will have a private burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
