Liam Jai Hoang's Obituary
Liam Jai Hoang of St Petersburg, Florida, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 10, 2020. He was 10.
Liam was born August 30, 2009 in St Petersburg, Florida; the beloved son of Vu and Elizabeth Hoang. He was a student at New Heights Elementary School where he enjoyed art, reading, science; in particular space, and math. He had a gift for music, playing percussion, and was selected to the All County Honors Band where he recently performed at the Mahaffey Theater. He was also in the Science Club and World Drumming.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving parents, Vu and Elizabeth Strickland Hoang and his sister Gianna “Gigi” Hoang. He is the beloved grandson of Richard and Taek Cha Strickland and Jimmy Lam and Thanh Hoang. Liam also leaves behind his aunt, Donna Khoury; his uncle, Jeff Strickland and Mindy Henderson and uncle John Yi; a cousin, Kailey Strickland, his great aunt, Mary Garst and his great-great aunt, Hien Lam. He will be dearly missed by his family, classmates, teachers and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th Street North, St Petersburg, Florida 33709. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Serenity Falls of Memorial Park Cemetery.
