Lenora Theresa Brayton was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 10, 1932 and went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2021 in Land O’Lakes, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents (William and Georgia Sapp), sister (Jane), brother (Billy), grandson (Todd), and loving husband of 61 years (George). Lenora married George, a young serviceman in the Air Force, when she was 18 years old. She had a longtime career in medical records retiring at the age of 78 and made lifetime friendships with her coworkers Jeana, Lucelly, and many others. Lenora was artistic, loved to paint, draw, craft, scrapbook, and was a collector of many things. Most of all, she loved to go shopping for shoes and purses with her daughter, Karen, and granddaughter, Melissa, as well as her good friend and neighbor of forty years, Kathy.
Lenora and George were faithful members of New Testament Baptist Church in Largo where they served in the children’s ministry for many years. She leaves behind a legacy of living a dedicated Christian life, being a devoted and caring friend, and a loving mother, grandmother, and Gigi.
She will be dearly missed.
