I used to work for Henry, Laverne's husband many years ago, and both him and Laverne always treated me like family. They were both wonderful people and they will be missed.

From Priscilla Hoon; Henry Wren and I worked for a long time for the St. Petersburg Times and my nephew worked for him, delivering both the Times and the Independent. We were friends. Laverne and I exchanged Christmas cards every year up until the present. Sad to hear she has passed away.
