Laverne Romito's Obituary
Laverne (Val) Romito, of St. Petersburg, Florida (formally from Pittsburgh, PA) passed away on April 10, 2018 at the age of 92. Val and her husband Bud moved to Florida in 1980 and started Tri-Us Janitorial which is still operated by the family and one of the top janitorial distributors in Pinellas county today. Val also worked for JC Penny's until she retired after 25 years then continued to work at Tri-Us Janitorial with her children until the age of 86.
She is survived by her son David Romito (Barb), who passed on July 16, 2016, of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter Marlene "Marcy" Huffman (Pete Huffman) who passed on August 11, 2018 of Pinellas Park, FL; son Dean (Connie) Romito of Palm Harbor, FL; 4 grandchildren Tammy (Dennis) Higgins of Pittsburgh, PA, James Romito of Pinellas Park, FL, Tina (Paul) Amari of Tampa, FL and Christopher Huffman of Pinellas Park, FL; 6 great grandchildren Nikki Ford of Pittsburgh, PA, James Hodgkiss of Largo, FL, Amanda Walker of Tampa, FL, Dennis Higgins of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul Matthew Amari of Tampa, FL and Madison Higgins of Pittsburgh, PA; 1 great great granddaughter Jocelynn Menendez of Tampa, FL. A viewing will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, April 13 from 10am-12pm a service at 12pm with a committal service to follow at Royal Palm North Cemetery on Gandy Blvd where she will be reunited with the love of her life.
