Mrs. Laura W. Reed's Obituary
Laura Weisgarber Reed, 93, passed away peacefully among family members on Saturday, May 20. Mrs. Reed was born in Harrisburg, PA on January 27, 1924. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard, 3 sons, Floyd, Curtis, and Scott, and a sister, Louise. Mrs. Reed grew up in Pennsylvania with her brother Ray, 3 sisters, Christine, Marion and Louise. She married Richard Williams Reed in September of 1952 and moved to St. Petersburg where she worked as a beautician and hairdresser for Weisgarber’s Beauty Parlor with her mother, Marion, and sisters Christine and Louise. She eventually became a fulltime homemaker, devoting her time and loving effort toward her husband and three boys. Services will be held for Laura on Saturday, June 3, 2:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home of St. Petersburg.
